ABOUT TNZ

forhoax

TNZ [True News Zone] was an independent international media group (or rather a gang:) born among the social cataclysm known as ‘the death’ of Michael Jackson on June 25th, 2009. Our mission was to to investigate some confusing, misfitting and sometimes absurd facts around his death, in order to find the truth and reduce the entropy. The name TNZ was a mockery of ‘TMZ’, the yellowest Hollywood tabloid and the main source of chaos and the Hoax’s news (they are so good at it, that were first who posted the bombshell, even before MJ’s official time of death.)

Albeit we’d been always respecting Mr. Jackson as one of the greatest entertainers and artists of our time, we are not ashamed to admit that we had not been MJ’s fans until his death, that, in a way, made us more or less unbiassed researchers. Even the hypothesis of a hoax death (that appeared in a few weeks) couldn’t NOT amaze us, so we decided to know more about the man we’ve never knew — the crazy and desperate man who would be able to pull the trick like this.

During a several years of observing closely media reports, closely the behavior of MJ’s insiders family members, allies and enemies, and watching the hoax community , we had come to a firm and ultimate conclusion: in spite of all dark and dirty circumstances surrounding Mr. Jackson’s ‘death’, his is not just still alive and well and hanging on the web actively, but he and only he is the author of that masterplan called ‘the death hoax’.

Over the years of MJ’s ‘afterlife’ we had been observing not just Mr. Jackson himself MJ-related facts, but also his fandom and the community of people baffled and ‘awakened’ by his ‘death’ (we call them ‘believers’). It had been interesting from a social point of view — as a real life game and an augmented marketing campaign. These had been funny and crazy times, and we tried to see not just dramatical, but comical aspects of the hoax.

Over the years we tried to be a voice of reason and ‘the hoax cheerleader’ — to clear up the confusion, to give people hope, and not just cracked riddles, but food for thoughts and tools for independent thinking. Can’t say we’ve succeed in this, but hopefully a few thousands of readers had gotten a new perspective. First several years we believed and promoted MJ’s returning (we’d named it ‘Bamsday’) — a grand finale of that existential drama that was supposed to clear up MJ’s name, get him back in chart, make him a few billions and allow to buy out his assets. This was a survival plan and we can’t blame him for that — even more so, because even a fake death is no fun, and the man probably has gotten his boomerangs.

Had we known the man behind the mask? We think we had. And maybe even better than we’d love to. This journey had been a can of worms, indeed. (And the entire evolution of knowledge and disillusioning is very noticeable in our posts). However, we’d learned everything we could and wanted to know and closed the project. Now it’s just a memorial to the craziest actions people (including ourselves) are able to commit, and albeit you probably wouldn’t understand the biggest part of the texts, you may try.

To discover the man you never knew.
